The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox

This is a review on a book I recently read.

The book is about a story of 2 generations. The past, where the older generation life her teen life, and the present, where the younger generation is. It starts when the girl (forgot her name) receive a call from a mental institution, stating that her Great-Aunt, which she was not even aware of her existence, is being released from the place, due to closing down of the institution.

Then they bring us back to the past, where Esme is still small kid and she had her sick brother died in the hold, and other stories that give us a picture of a more than average active little girl in a very respectable family environment. The whole family treat her like she is crazy, but for me she is just a child with imagination and different personality than others.

Esme has an elder sister, whose grand-daughter is the present girl. When the grand-daughter ask Esme's sister about Esme, her answer is "she does not want to let go of the boy....." weird.
But the whole story is twisted and strange it gives me a strange feeling, more to satisfaction after reading it. The question that keep popping out in my mind is that what has the girl done that the entire family just put her in the institution and wipe her out of the family tree and just pretend like she never even existed. You will never guess the answer.....
