THE NEW AND IMPROVED PENYEEEET

Yesterday nite me n the gals have the usual gathering at our fave Indonesian Restautant - Ayam Penyet Ria, located at Lucky Plaza Orchard. We are very happy because they have move to a new place, still inside Lucky Plaza, however, this new place is bigger, brighter, cleaner adn I find that all the staffs is more friendly than the old place.

The other thing that make us more satisfy is the size of the food is back to normal. The signature dish of this resto is called ayam penyet set - smashed fried chicken with rice, side dish raw vege, friend tahun and tempe, and lots of Indonesian chilli " sambel terasi".

The first time I went to this resto is begining of 2005 and the food size is enormous, we declared that we have to share 1 set for 2 person to eat. We then also declared that this is definitely our fave resto, because the terasi is sooo nice, that we have to eat there once a week, sometime twice.

As time pass by, me n my best fren realise that either our eating habbit have changed to become a monster or the size of the food is getting smaller because we definitely can eat 1 set of ayam penyet per person. At one time, one of my fren gulp down 2 sets during lunch. After that we believe that the food have gone smaller and smaller that during June - Aug'06 our pace slowed down for we visit the place like once a month, and we prefer to eat KFC because they give bigger chicken. During this time also we feels that the terasi is not that good anymore, and we quite disapointed and switch to Wong Solo at Bugis.

Now that the food size have gone back to normal and the terasi definitely really tasty and spicy, for I have the greatest stomach scramp for eating spicy food since July 2006, I definitely declared that this resto is again at the top chart of my must eat food in Singapore.
